Inspired by R., who'd just read this book on holiday, I decided to pick up my own copy (bought in 2006!). It's good I finally did because it's a delightful book. Almost everywhere it's naughty or raunchy but Dahl does it in such a way that it reads very well. He had an excellent sense of humour and an entertaining story to tell. Perfect little in-between-book. Makes me curious to read some of his short stories again.
P.S. Immediately afterwards also read The Witches. Who said Roald Dahl was a children's author? He's perfectly enjoyable for adults as well. Although from the ones I've now read in English I think I prefer The BFG more.
